GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION
Did you miss our fabulous Grand Opening Celebration held on Saturday, December 2? While we did open our doors on November 1, we wanted to celebrate with fun, food and vendors to celebrate the successful completion of our first month of operation! So, if you missed joining us last Saturday, here is a look at our wonderful time.
You couldn’t miss where the activity was in Lovettsville, we were bustling with a constant stream of excited customers. It quickly became apparent that your Co-op is and will continue to be a community hub. Thanks to Ellen’s Balloon Fun https://ellens-balloon-fun.square.site, the store entry was festooned with balloons in our store colors.
The festivities began when we opened our doors with Board members handing out free fruit donated by Four Seasons Produce featuring fruit from Solti and Harmless Harvest.
Live music, provided by DJ Keion Harris, kept up the energy and festive atmosphere; children enjoyed face painting; and a $200 gift card was won by member, Dick Darr.
Special pricing for the day was marked throughout the store.
We had several vendors out front and inside the store giving out all sorts of snacks, drinks and foods that can be found in your Co-op. Local vendors and reps from our national providers included:
A Friendly Bread https://afriendlybread.com Served up samples of their yummy grilled cheese sandwiches
Cajun Sushi Wonderful samples of sushi while they lasted
Free Run Wine Merchants provided wine tastings
Little Sesame https://eatlittlesesame.com Fabulous tastings of hummus and dips with crackers and drinks
My Dad’s Chips https://mydadschips.com Samples of all their chip varieties served up by Dad himself!
Orac Farms https://oracfarms.com Provided delicious samples of Honey Berry syrup and Apple Cider
Zenjoy https://drinkzenjoy.com Thirst quenching and invigorating drink samples
Other samples were provided by Red Jacket Orchard, Et Olivia and Regal King Salmon.
AND, to top off the day, we participated in the Town’s annual Cocoa Crawl.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VENDORS, PRODUCERS, and PARTICIPANTS for making this a memorable successful day!
